Description:

Firefox downloads files into a specific folder (default is your desktop). This is fine if your are organised and move the files to another folder for safe keeping, but I always forget and before long my downloads directory is full of files.

Enter Mac OS X Folder Actions. This simple script moves the file once it's been downloaded in to a folder in another location - I move everything to my Software folder for example.

Just download this script to your Mac, right click on the folder you use as your download location and click Add Folder Action, then select the downloaded script. Make sure you edit the script first and put your "Software" folder path at the top. That's it, you're all set!
